Overview
Robert Burke, a company member of 10 Hairy Legs, the acclaimed Highland Park-based all-male repertory dance company, will lead a live ballet workshop at this week’s Wellness Wednesday live online gathering!
Robert has been a guest artist at Rutgers University, Montclair State University and Rider University. He has taught workshops across the globe to students and professionals across the United States as well as in South Africa and the Cayman Islands. As a choreographer, Burke has shown his work throughout the United States including at Dixon Place, Paramount Theater (Boston), Hofstra University, Rutgers University, Rider University, Dance New Amsterdam, Jersey City Theater Center and NJPAC. He has received numerous awards, including NJPAC’s own Jersey (New) Moves Fellowship in both 2015 and 2017.
In 2020, Robert was awarded the New Jersey State Council of the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship in Choreography, which he has been using to have weekly creative sessions with his dancers virtually.
