The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), a nonprofit arts organization, is a collaborative leader in Newark’s cultural and civic life, a catalyst of the city’s revitalization and a champion of its artistic spirit. Guided by an unwavering commitment to artistic excellence, NJPAC fulfills its mission by:
- Producing and presenting world-class performances by music, dance, spoken word poetry and comedy artists, and insightful conversations with creators and changemakers, on its own stages and in venues across the region.
- Advancing the city’s economic growth and cultural vitality through real estate development.
- Nurturing the well-being and creativity of the communities it serves through accessible social impact initiatives, developed in collaboration with local partners and organizations, including:
- Arts education and career development programs for students and educators,
- Public programs that use the arts to support health and well-being,
- Free arts experiences in neighborhoods across Greater Newark and the state.
