In this never-before-released documentary, filmmaker Thomas Guy follows Newark jazz singer Sarah Vaughan from Newport, Rhode Island to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil during her 1977 concert tour. Listen to the Sun offers an intimate peek behind the curtain through interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, rehearsal footage and concert performances featuring the Sarah Vaughan trio: Carl Schroeder, piano; Walter Booker, bass; and Jimmy Cobb, drums.
