Don’t miss an authentic, exhilarating Hip Hop experience and celebration of expression. The 5th Element exhibition features 5 years of NJPAC’s young artist citizen’s versatile styles, symbols and tagz.
The exhibit also includes a display of play, practice and process to reflect how our young artists define their identify through discovery, utilizing Hip Hop’s “5th element,” knowledge of self, to create!

Emcee Cypher at 2-2:30 pm
Dance Cypher at 2:30-3 pm
Youth DJ Set at 3:00-4 pm
Teaching artists who guided our young artists along the way include D. Cross, Baja Ukweli, Xplore Freedom, Tina Ndgo Hill, Mani Martinez, Genesis Tramaine, Kween Moore and Newark’s Graffiti icon Jerry Gant.
