The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation (Dodge Foundation) and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) launched Dodge Poetry – a new collaboration that celebrates poetry as a catalyst for communities to advance social change. Read the full announcement.

A través de esta iniciativa, Dodge Poetry se expandirá más allá del festival bienal para incluir programación durante todo el año en Newark. Los eventos de Dodge Poetry tendrán tres objetivos:
1) movilizar comunidades e impulsar movimientos para el cambio social;
2) Amplificar a los activistas poetas que desafían y reformulan las narrativas y normas existentes y
3) Crear espacios para la empatía, la sanación y reparación para personas que han experimentado racismo sistémico.

La palabra hablada en todas sus formas se celebra en el Dodge Poetry Festival del 15 al 17 de octubre de 2026 en el centro de Newark.

America’s way

The song, “America’s Way: Hope and Justice,” is a collaboration between NJPAC’s Arts Education department and Dodge Poetry in the Community, an initiative of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation that is produced by the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Learn about our programs at njpac.org.

More than 160 young artists enrolled in the Arts Center’s Saturday Arts Training programs participated in the creation of the song and production of the music video.
