Drawing on archival discoveries, this lecture brings the forgotten faces of Newark’s history back to life. A fresh light will be cast on iconic local figures, and hidden stories will be revealed from those with surprising ties to the city.

The presenter is Gail Malmgreen, Director of the Newark Archives Project. Launched in 2009 by the Newark History Society, the Newark Archives Project is an online guide with more than 4,000 comprehensive descriptions about primary source materials related to Newark and its residents.
Light refreshments will be served. This program is co-sponsored by NJPAC, Newark History Society and the Newark Public Library.
