“One of the best-equipped jazz vocalists swinging today”(Chicago Tribune), Ann Hampton Callaway returns (virtually!) to NJPAC for an evening performing her favorite Gershwin tunes.

This Tony Award® nominated vocalist – a true musician’s musician – is one of the leading champions and historians of the great American Songbook. Her unique singing style blends jazz with traditional pop, all infused with warmth, spontaneous wit, and passionate delivery that’ll have you humming along in your living room.

This virtual concert is the first in new online series at NJPAC: Every month, a special guest will visit our virtual theater to share the work of an American Song performer or composer they love. Afterward, NJPAC President and CEO John Schreiber – a passionate aficionado of the genre — will join our featured performer in conversation, taking a deep dive into the history of this timeless music and tales of the legendary artists who brought it to life.

The American Song series at NJPAC is presented, in part, through the generous support of the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation
