Overview
Jazz pianist Christian Sands has been blowing minds since the age of four. At 30, he’s already been nominated for five GRAMMY® Awards—and he’s one of the most in-demand young talents around, touring the world as a bandleader and as a sideman for Christian McBride and Gregory Porter.
In this evening of smooth and swinging contemporary jazz, Sands will be joined by keyboardists Helen Sung and Tadataka Unno to pay tribute to the late great Erroll Garner, the famed pianist best known for composing that favorite standard, “Misty.”
Earlier this year, Sands was named Creative Ambassador to The Erroll Garner Jazz Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to his legacy.
