Activist, academic and revolutionary Angela Davis has spent a lifetime challenging oppression and examining intersections of race, gender and class. A professor emerita of the history of consciousness and feminist studies at UC Santa Cruz, Dr. Davis today focuses on solidarity with those in prison and advancing a 21st-century abolitionist movement. Dr. Davis will be joined in conversation by Dr. Salamishah Tillet, Pulitzer Prize-winning critic-at-large at The New York Times and Professor of African American Studies and Creative Writing at Rutgers University-Newark.
