In this interactive professional development workshop, teachers will explore the complexities of student engagement and learn arts-based strategies to inspire deeper learning. Participants will analyze the continuum of engagement, reflect on their own classroom practices, and engage in hands-on activities that model approaches to increase student investment. Through collaborative exploration, educators will identify key ingredients of engagement—such as choice, collaboration, and open-ended outcomes—and plan practical ways to integrate them into their lessons. By centering arts-based methods, teachers will leave with tools to cultivate dynamic, responsive, and inclusive learning environments for all students.
