You love the performing arts.

A guitar riff leaves you speechless. You obsess over your Spotify playlist.
You sample your own rhythms. And learn every new Tik Tok dance.
Do you want to peel back the stage curtain and see how the magic happens?
Then have we got an experience for you.

Our next class of NJPAC Fellows begins in June. This is your chance to do meaningful, impactful work at the Arts Center.

The NJPAC Fellowship is a competitive, pre-professional program for rising college juniors and seniors and recent graduates. This eight-week summer opportunity offers a window into a potential career — and a head start on finding a dream job in the arts.

Our Fellows are paid, part-time staff members who contribute to NJPAC’s multifold mission of being a presenter of world-class entertainment, a national leader in arts education, a convener of civic engagement events and catalyst for economic development in Newark. Each Fellow will be assigned to a department head and will work with team members to learn about the operations of an anchor cultural institution. Fellows are placed in a variety of departments, from Arts Education and Marketing to Volunteer Services, Information Technology and Community Engagement. They represent and promote NJPAC at public events and gain professional and networking experience.

We expect Fellows to be deeply engaged in their work and contribute to their daily responsibilities. In turn, Fellows will benefit from networking opportunities with NJPAC staff and leadership, plus weekly collaborative events and training with other Fellows. This program, now in its third season, gives Fellows a positive workplace experience and builds meaningful professional connections.

If you are a motivated, curious student with a passion for the arts and interest in advancing NJPAC’s work and mission, please apply to become an NJPAC Fellow in the June 2024 class.
